Is it ever too late to take the leadership role or to make a profound impression on someone?

There are probably hundreds of definitions of leadership so the answer will depend on which one you use. I believe, at best, leadership is about presenting yourself as who you really are, so effectively that others identify with your authenticity. Using that definition the answer might be, "No it is never too late to be authentic with others, however, I suspect that the longer you create some other perception the less likely it is that you will make a profound impression. There is an expression, 'You only get one chance to make a first impression,' so start immediately which is sometimes easier said than done."
